Who is responsible
This website, presentationanxiety.org, is the operator and decides what happens to the little data described below. Questions or requests go to hello@presentationanxiety.org.
Your answers in the planner
The talk type and the fear you pick only reorder the plan on your screen. That happens in your browser, nothing about your choice leaves it, and it is forgotten when you close the tab.
Visit counts
You never have to tell us who you are. A short script records that a page opened, which site linked to it, roughly how far down you read, and which test button you tapped, if any. It adds your browser language, your device's operating system and a random ID saved in your browser, so a return visit is recognized as the same device. Your IP address is used for a rough country and region estimate and is not stored in full.
Who handles the counts
Each record goes first to this site's own server and from there to an analytics provider that keeps the data in the European Union. We use it to see which parts of the page help and to improve them. We do not sell it or pass it to advertisers.
What sits in your browser
There are no cookies. Your browser stores the random ID, a session marker that resets after half an hour without activity, your light or dark choice and, once you close it, the hidden state of the bottom bar. Clearing the data for this site removes every item. Blocking scripts still leaves the page readable, and then nothing is counted.
Test buttons
Every test button points to /rehearse on this site. That address reads your browser's user agent and sends Android devices to the Confidently listing on Google Play, passing on where on the page you tapped, while all other devices go to the App Store. Nothing about the tap is stored there. From that moment the store's own privacy terms, and those of the app, apply.
Removal
Email the address above and we will delete what is tied to your random ID. Since we hold nothing that names you, clearing this site's browser data also cuts the link straight away.
